Description
Choose a single artist or architect (active between 1500 and 1600) and write a paper on one (or two) of this artist’s works. You may include some artistic biography, but it should be a small component of your paper. Issues of cultural context, patronage, iconography and style are more relevant. The following artists are possible choices: Michelangelo, Raphael, Giorgione, Titian, Leonardo, Pontormo, Cellini, Veronese, Correggio, Bronzino, Tintoretto, Sansovino, Andrea del Sarto, Vasari, Palladio.
