Q2 (Explanation of Capstone Project Plan – Smart Nutrition and Recovery Optimization Program)
Option 01 this week has you evaluate a professional SPHS-related certification offered by a reputable professional organization which directly relate to your capstone project. Please note that many professional organizations are very protective of their personal "turf" as far as who can charge the public (and make third party charges to insurance, etc.) for SPHS services with a given state. Please research an area of the country/world where you live or would like to live someday to see which certifications are optimal (and most feasible) for your personal and professional goals within the specific institution (medical center, university, community college, health club, clinic, weight loss facility, etc.) you hope to work. Please also post any previous exams or study guides you find and tell us how you plan to prepare for your upcoming written and/or practical examinations. Please cite at least one professional certification (possibly related to the level of expertise necessary to implement various aspects of your program, etc.) within your capstone final manuscript both within text and reference list using APA style. Weblinks describing professional certifications offered by SPHS-related organizations include:
National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) - NASM
American Council on Exercise (ACE) – ACE
Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) – AFAA
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) - ACSM
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) - NSCA
National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) - NESTA
International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) - ISSA
Q3
Choice 1:
If you were an educator/guest lecturer for parents of young children, what do you think are the most important concepts for parents to understand about the role of early childhood experiences in development?  Give at least 3 examples about experiences parents should provide to young children to help promote development and provide support for your choices.
Q4
Topic 1: Understanding Nonverbal Communication
How does nonverbal communication differ from verbal communication, and why is it important in interpersonal interactions?
• Reflect on a time when nonverbal cues significantly impacted your understanding of a situation.
• Discuss how nonverbal communication can complement or contradict verbal messages.
Q5
There are many different issues affecting food service today, from consumer issues about health and nutrition to a trend toward no tipping and increased minimum wage to issues involving the fallout from the 2020 pandemic. There are industry organizations that work to lobby and advocate for their members. One such organization is the National Restaurant Association.
It is important to stay up to date with industry issues. Take a look at the issues and advocacy page on the National Restaurant Association’s website. Take some time to read through some of the topics on the advocacy page and the policy agenda page. Choose one issue to explore more fully.
Find and post a link to an article from a source outside the National Restaurant Association that focuses on that particular issue and explain how and why the industry issue is impacting more than just restaurant employees or owners.
What does this issue mean for the future of the restaurant or foodservice industry?

Q6
Identify and describe three social and emotional competence building strategies or relationship building strategies that stood out to you from the readings and resources.
• What drew you to these strategies and why?
• How can you adopt these strategies for at least two different age groups? (eg any two of the following: infant, toddler, preschooler, or young school age groups.)
Q7
What are some of the biggest challenges faced by adults in middle adulthood (roughly ages 40-65)?  Have you ever known anyone who experienced a "midlife crisis?"  If so, don't name names, but describe that person's behaviors.  If not, think of an example you've seen in a book, movie, or TV show.  What would theorists such as Erikson or Levinson say about such behaviors?
Q8

1) List at least four careers for each of these areas of psychology.
2) After researching these areas, did you find any careers that interested you? Why or why not?
3) What did you find to be the most interesting aspect about of these subspecialties in psychology?
Q9 (quiita)
Consider the material that we covered this week and discuss when you think a mixed methods approach should be used in research.  What are some key arguments that are occurring within the discipline regarding this question? Your posts this week should demonstrate critical reflection upon the assigned readings.
Q10
1. For this Discussion, you need to read Part V "Dealing with Change Positively" in "Excellence in Supervision" in the Conlow (2001) text. Also read "The Future Leader" (Morgan, 2020) Part 2, Trends and Challenges Shaping Future Leaders pages 37-43 and Chapter 21, "The Technology Teenager" pages 241-243.
The Scenario – You have been chosen by your CEO to prepare a brief or letter for your company to explain the changes that the organization will be experiencing. The CEO chose you because you are known to have your finger on the pulse of the workers and embrace technology. He wants you to reassure the workforce of the coming changes.

The CEO told you that he has heard numerous rumors of low morale, employees looking for new jobs, possible strikes (your workers are union) and even threatening comments. Your company is ELO Transportation, a small local company that takes normal gasoline engine vehicles and transforms them into electric-powered vehicles. Your company so far has transformed a few buses, garbage trucks, tow trucks, and numerous other vehicles for your community (a town of 100,000 people) however, with automation, machine learning, and AI the company is looking to launch nationwide. This will happen in the next two years.

A large percentage of your workforce are older workers and are really concerned about learning new technology and losing their job to "dumb machines"!

You can "make up" facts to help your brief, just make sure your work is pertinent to the course material.

The CCEP exam is a rigorous, comprehensive assessment of clinical knowledge and practical skills.

Previous Exams and Study Guides Found

ACSM Official Exam Content Outline: I found the detailed outline which breaks down the exam into domains, including Patient Assessment, Exercise Testing, Exercise Prescription and Implementation, Education and Behavior Change, and Legal/Ethical/Safety Issues.

ACSM Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription (Tenth Edition): This official textbook is repeatedly cited as the primary resource for the exam, and I plan to purchase and study it thoroughly.

Practice Exams: I located several third-party online practice exams and question banks that simulate the computer-based format and difficulty level of the official CCEP examination.

Professional Certification Evaluation for Capstone Project 💡

My capstone project, the Smart Nutrition and Recovery Optimization Program (SNROP), is designed to provide personalized nutrition and physical activity recommendations to improve recovery outcomes, particularly for individuals managing chronic metabolic conditions (like Type 2 Diabetes) or recovering from specific injuries. To feasibly implement this program in a clinical or wellness setting, a professional certification is essential.

Evaluation of Professional Certification: The Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CCEP)

I will research the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), which offers the Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CCEP) certification, as this designation directly relates to working with the specific populations targeted by SNROP.
