2) You will write a research paper on a public policy designed to address a specific societal inequity. The policy will be on
immigration. “How has immigration policies changed in the United States in the last century? What were the biggest factors leading
up to those changes?” Feel free to change it up if necessary. Avoid questions that are too broad, like the redistributive effects of the
healthcare system, or too obscure, like the racially disparate impact of stop signs.
