SWOT Analysis
In the Learning Activity titled, Conducting a SWOT Analysis, you were provided examples of varying SWOT templates. Use one of those templates to
complete this Formative Assessment.
What is your SWOT Analysis going to look like for your organization? Preparing your SWOT is as important as actually conducting it. If you don’t prepare for it
well, it may not provide the information you need when you are trying to interpret the data. What data will you be looking for to develop your goals and report?
As you develop your SWOT framework, think through what you will need to determine your goals and your final report. What do you feel you will need to get
out of the SWOT Analysis and how will this look in the report? It is time to verify that you are ready to do your final assessment for this competency.
Develop your framework for your SWOT Analysis. This should include questions you will ask for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. You will
also determine how you will determine what your goals will be and what is the outline for your report. Areas you need to include in your framework:
Your SWOT Analysis will include:
Overview of your selected organization
A diagram/chart of the analysis
List of the questions used to develop the analysis and why these questions were used
Analysis of the SWOT
You will also develop an outline for your goal setting and report. This should include:
A diagram/chart of the goals
Explanation of each goal
Timeline with steps to completion of each goal
Submit your document that includes the framework for your SWOT Analysis, goal settings, and report to your instructor through this formative assessment to
start the conversation on where you are and what you need to work on before you start your final assessment.
