It is recommended that all e-businesses create and post a Terms of Service or Privacy Policy to their website. Based on the type of data collection, monitoring and tracking you plan to do through your e-business website, you will need to develop a Terms of Service/Privacy Policy to inform your consumers of these activities.

Evaluate three other established e-business’ Terms of Service/Privacy Policies. As you look through their policies, go through the “Criteria to Use When Examining Privacy Policies” checklist on pg. 523 for comparison. Use this research to collect notes on what you might need to include for your own e-business policy (the notes do not have to be turned in.)
Take a look at your fictional e-business and list out all of the possible types of information, monitoring, and tracking that will occur with your marketing, sales, and other activities. Use the elements of your marketing plan that you created in Lab 3. For instance, if in your marketing plan you indicated that you would use re-targeting ads for your e-business, then this means that the consumer will need to be informed that while visiting your website, cookies will be installed on their computer which monitors and send back data about their internet browsing activities.
