The Crucible

I choose the movie: The Crucible. Analyze one of the theories from Module 6 and then refute that analysis with a different Module 6 theory that presents an opposing perspective. Because these analyses will utilize social/political theory, they will contain more overarching topics within the movie in addition to specific interaction between characters. Be sure that the version you use is the same as the one listed in the course movie list. Your analysis should include all of the following: Introduction – What will the reader find in your paper? Body – Concise and coherent application of chosen theory to the communication found in the film. Analysis Brief summary of the chosen theory that includes theorist, year, and key points Analysis - Important tenets of the first theory applied appropriately to interaction between characters in the movie. Any quotes included from the movie are properly cited. Refutation Explanation of the weaknesses of the first theory and strengths of second theory Brief summary of the chosen theory that includes theorist, year, and key points Analysis - Important tenets of the second theory applied appropriately to interaction between characters in the movie. Any quotes included from the movie are properly cited. Conclusion – Advocacy for your work Summary of your thoughts Support for the positions you have created in your analysis
