vernacular high culture, and epic and romance literature) and religious changes (urban religious orders, and
additional crusades in the late twelfth century? Write (at the very least) about one specific change in terms
of culture and one in terms of religion. What changes could be considered achievements? What changes
produced new problems? Be sure to explain WHY these changes constituted achievements or failures, or
