Picking one of the four pillars of Sustainability (People, Economy, Society, and Environment) and the combing them with the rest while also tying it into the book with the book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

Open your paper by clearly introducing William Kamkwambe and The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Kamkwamba is influenced by all that happens in his life and village to persevere through many hardships and to dedicate his adult life to improving the lives of those who live in Malawi. You will be focusing on one pillar of sustainability, but you will be discussing the other pillars when you discuss key events that happened to William, his family, or his village. You will find that the four pillars intersect. For example, if you decide to focus on drought (the environmental pillar), you might choose as one of your events the time when William Kamkwambe has to withdraw from school due to lack of money to pay his tuition. The drought (environmental pillar) is the precipitating factor to the entire problem. Because the crops are destroyed, there is no food to trade (economic pillar). Because there is no food to trade, there is no money (people pillar). Why does the drought occur? The drought occurs because of deforestation (environmental pillar). This deforestation is a result of their values and belief system (societal pillar) of cutting down trees whenever they need to plant crops when the old land is worn out. All four are intertwined. You will need to choose a theme for your paper and develop the theme throughout your paper with solid examples from research and from events in The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. You will need to research the four pillars as applicable to Malawi and to the author’s life.
