Using the lens of contemporary science and technology lens analyze how Moreau might be relevant to questions in contemporary science and technology. The sub-specialization I chose for this research is genetic splicing. Questions to be answered in this research paper are: How does the novel speak to contemporary debates about fusing human and animal DNA together or simply re-engineering human DNA? How to the Beast-Men compare and contrast with, say, human-pig hybrids created in a lab? How do Moreau’s methods compare with contemporary methods for fusing human and animal genetics?
