This course topic includes microscopy, the first technology tool that allowed scientists to begin to the study of microbes. Without this very important tool, the progress that has been made in our understanding of infectious disease would not have been possible.
There have been many people who have contributed to this knowledge. Research and select a microbiologist (Elizabeth Grice) that has to contribute to our understanding of microbes. Try to choose someone who has not been mentioned in the course so far. Prepare a biography of that individual you choose. Include who they were, what their discoveries were and how that contributed to the field of microbiology. Be as specific as possible about the science that the person discovered.
