The “New Terrorism”

    In the “New Terrorism” technologies are used for the execution of terrorist strikes, as well as by governments to track and mitigate terrorist threats. Given the ever-changing nature of communication technologies and corporate and international cooperation to counter terrorist activities, terrorism continues to threaten security. However, due to the ability to anonymously monitor online traffic, governments have taken liberties that raise ethical considerations when considering civil liberties traditionally held within democratic states. Respond to the following: ● Examine new technologies used to fight terrorism, and discuss how they might be regulated? In your view, can they be regulated; should they be regulated?
