Case study

Annemarie Martin is a 14 -year-old middle school girl who currently lives with her father, younger sister, and older brother. Her mother has been deployed overseas for the past 6 months. Lately, Annemarie’s grades have been falling and she has been spending a lot of time in her room. Last evening when Mr. Martin talked to her, she told him she was being bullied by some girls at school who didn’t like her. He told her to “talk to the teacher at school and just stand up to them.” When she told him she had tried to do this he replied, “I don’t have the time or energy to deal with this right now. I’ve got an early morning meeting to get ready for—we’ll talk about this later.” She tells her best friend at school that she is fed up with everything and “Dad just doesn’t get it! I can’t do this anymore; maybe I’ll just kill myself.” Her friend’s response is casual, “You don’t want to do that. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.” That afternoon when she goes home, she gives her favorite doll to her younger sister and tells her brother he can have her prized skateboard. She goes to her room, which has been her habit for several weeks. When Mr. Martin arrives home, he calls out hello but gets no response from Annemarie. He sits down to read the paper, awaiting delivery of a pizza. When he calls everyone to the table, there is still no answer from Annemarie and he asks the brother to go let Annemarie know supper is on the table. Her brother comes running back down the stairs, saying, in an agitated voice, that she won’t wake up. Mr. Martin runs up to her room and is alarmed to see that Annemarie is unresponsive and there is an empty prescription bottle on the bed that had contained medication her brother was prescribed for attention deficit disorder. 911 is called and Annemarie is taken to the hospital where her stomach is pumped and she is admitted to the hospital for observation and a psychiatric evaluation in the morning

1) Use the SAME case study ( the above case study) for this discussion that you used for the week 3 discussion.

2) Identify one physical and one psychosocial nursing diagnoses for the patient in the case study. Use the assessment findings to select two that are relevant to the patient. A nursing diagnosis statement must be written as a 2-part of 3-part statement (please review this learning resources(i have provided the resources below) for how to do this correctly for how . You will also need to use these assessment findings identified in week 3 (here is that you should use the attachment below that says ( NSG100WK 4 Using week three information doc)) for the “as evidenced by” for each nursing diagnosis.

3). Identify 1 goal and two outcomes for the physical nursing diagnosis you wrote in #1.
