Truman Doctrine Discussion

All primary discussion posts must be 100 words or more and at least 75 words when you are replying to another student and you must reply to at least one student. Truman announced that the United States must support Greece and Turkey in order to prevent them from becoming communist. He said we must do this not because it would be nice for them, but because it was in the national security interest of the United States. What is the logic behind his argument? Do you find Truman's argument persuasive? Why or why not?
