“Women are often under-discussed in regard to their contributions to jazz. Choose a prominent pre-WWII female jazz group, musician, or singer, and include a biography of their career, a discussion of two or three notable recordings, and an analysis of some of the issues they faced as a female jazz musician, both professionally and personally.”
